Gain a basic understanding and appreciation of the elements of music technology, including MIDI, computer music applications, digital audio recording, and sound design. Examine the elements, instruments, styles, and history of electronic music. Learn how to apply music theory to digital music production. Pre- or Co-requisite: FLM022/MUSC 141 Class Piano I or FLM070/MUSC184 Music Theory: Introduction, or consent of department. Computer experience and a background in music are preferred.
