On November 5, 2024, over 150 million people will cast ballots to elect the next US President, all the members of the House and about one-third of the Senate. Many people believe democracy is on the line this fall. Will Trump or Biden prevail? Will the war in the Middle East remain active? Will the US provision of support for Ukraine stem the Russian advances? Will inflation, abortion rights, and immigration be prime issues for the fall campaigns? Join your fellow students for a lively examination of all these issues and many more, both pre-election and post-election. All points of view are welcome in this course as we evaluate politics and current events in a manner that is always respectful.
