Drawing with Pencils, Charcoal, or Pastels

This course will help you develop fundamental drawing skills. Learn basic techniques such as blocking in the composition with pencil, shading with charcoal, and using pastels to create vibrant color. Begin by drawing a still life and move onto landscape and portrait drawings from photographs. Examine these subjects using a variety of media (pencil, color pencils, charcoal, pastel, ink, and watercolor). This class is designed for students of any skill level.
