Have you noticed a problem you think you could solve in your neighborhood or community? Do you have an idea of how to improve the quality of life for those in need, educate others about environmental issues, or bring joy to others? Work in teams to develop a plan to combat an existing (or potential) social/environmental issue or need in your community, all while earning Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. In this camp, you will learn how to utilize resources, gain and engage supporters, launch a public service campaign, and, most importantly, make a positive and lasting impact in your society using your innovative mindset. At the end of the week, you will have all the tools you need to implement your idea, and the opportunity to present your plans to local community leaders for feedback about your impact. MCPS has approved this camp session for 10 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. Instructors: Southern Management Leadership Program Scholars.
