What is culture? Who shapes it? And how do traditions, stories, foods, and ideas travel across the world and through history? In this camp, you’ll explore the humanities through a global lens to uncover how cultures are formed, influenced, and connected. From ancient civilizations to modern trends, you’ll investigate how people express meaning through art, music, language, laws, and daily life. Together, we’ll ask big questions, compare diverse perspectives, and discover how past and present continue to shape the way we live today. If you’re curious about how history, creativity, and global connections come together to form culture, this is the camp for you! Instructor: Patrick Lukulay, MCPS teacher.
