This course will introduce you to the project management standards and principles established for project management by the Project Management Institute (PMI). This foundational information provides context for the purpose, functions, and environment of projects and behaviors to drive success. This course also introduces the options for how to manage projects including the predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches. A high-level overview of each approach is provided as well as an explanation of how to choose the appropriate methodology. Having this broad overview provides participants with an understanding of the connection of projects to value delivery and a clear understanding of the different approaches for accomplishing projects. Participants will use hands on exercises and course exam to demonstrate understanding.
