Build a complex theatrical character through movement! Movement is essential to character: it can express emotion, reveal personality, and communicate characteristics like health or age. Learn to employ movement techniques like Alexander, LeCoq, and Laban theory. Combine imagery and physical exercises to increase your kinesthetic awareness and connect physical action to psychological action. Optimize control of your body with core support, efficient energy use, and relaxation and breathing techniques. Practice these techniques during in-class solo and group improvisations. Open to students of all levels.
