The course "Long Term Care Planning" is being proposed in order to educate the public about the challenges and costs associated with the need for Long Term Care (LTC). As the population ages, people experience a wide array of both physical, functional, and/or cognitive issues, which in turn create the need for long term care. While many people consider the need for LTC to be most relevant to those 80+ years of age, there are unfortunately a significant number of people under the age of 70 who experience conditions which trigger the need for LTC as well.
