Residency Seminar I: Classroom Practice and Student Learning is a practical, results-focused professional learning experience designed for educators pursuing alternative teacher certification through the ACET program at Montgomery College. Designed to support teacher candidates during the residency phase of their preparation, this course emphasizes classroom practice, reflective teaching, student learning, and professional growth. Rather than focusing on abstract educational theory, participants engage in actionable strategies, real-world problem-solving, and collaborative learning experiences that help them navigate the challenges of their first semester while successfully meeting MCPS requirements for Student Learning Objective (SLO) implementation and data-informed instruction.
