An introduction to Building Automation Systems (BAS), which are used to control and monitor building functions. Students will learn how these systems work, the equipment involved, and how they are used to make buildings more efficient, comfortable, and safe. Prerequisite: HVAC Electricity or Fundamentals of Electrical Wiring or Understanding of basic electricity, including electrical theory, Ohm's Law, circuits, meters, motors, wiring practices, material selection, tool usage, plan reading, and safety, is essential.
