Russian I - Intermediate

Building on foundational skills, this intermediate Russian course deepens students’ command of language and culture. Refine the ability to communicate through richer cultural exploration and a focused review of grammar, supporting greater accuracy and fluency. Emphasis shifts toward extended reading, thoughtful analysis, and sustained written expression, preparing students to engage with authentic texts and ideas. Through discussion, composition, and cultural context, gain confidence using Russian in more complex academic and real-world situations. The course encourages independent thinking, nuanced expression, and deeper cross-cultural understanding through regular practice. In-class work is supplemented by 10 hours of online homework.
