Cartooning and Anime

This class introduces you to the creative world of both American cartooning and Japanese anime as you explore a variety of comic features and styles. You’ll design your own simple comic frame or manga page, complete with classic elements like expressive characters and engaging dialogue. Through sequential lessons, you’ll build confidence as you strengthen your drawing skills and develop your storytelling abilities, crafting storylines, character backgrounds, and narratives that bring your ideas to life.
