Advance your knowledge of sewing by creating garments from commercially available patterns. Complete projects like a kimono robe, blazer-style jacket and pants, zippered dress, and bomber jacket. Incorporate techniques such as pockets, invisible zippers, collars, linings, buttons, and advanced hems and seams. Practice sizing a pattern for a specific fit. Learn the ins and outs of creating reversible garments. Employ advanced tailoring and professional finishing techniques to create quality construction. Prerequisite: ADS591 Sewing: Level 3 or basic experience with sewing patterns and extensive experience with machine- and hand-sewing.
