Learn the basics of kiln-forming glass, where multiple glass elements are melted together to form a single piece. Discover how temperature and time are used in a kiln to create glass pieces. Explore techniques like tack fusing, slumping, and full fusing. Learn the different types of glass and their uses, including sheets, powder, and dichroic glass. Finish class with multiple completed glass artworks and an ability to prepare glass for kiln firing with expected results. Previous glass cutting experience helpful, but not required. Students are responsible for purchasing glass and glass components. Basic tools and firings are included.
