Discover the slow, meditative art of Kawandi, the traditional hand-stitched quilting style from India. Kawandi is practiced by the Siddi, and Indian community of African descent, using scrap fabrics like old saris and clothing. Build a mini quilt from the outside in using simple running stitches, colorful scraps, and your own creative intuition. This class focuses on hand-sewing; no sewing or quilting experience needed. All materials provided. All levels.
