Create works of art using the images, objects, and materials found throughout your everyday life.  Learn to see the artistic potential in the annoying and mundane—a parking ticket, dryer lint, or even a dead fly! Since the earliest collages of Picasso and Braque, this way of working has greatly influenced contemporary art practices from painting to sculpture. Engage in weekly explorations of modern and contemporary artists working in collage or assemblage.  Through the creation of 2D collages and 3D assemblages, gain skills in organizing successful compositions, utilizing principles of design, and working with color schemes. Open to students of all levels.
