Performing Craft is an exploration of the relationship between craft techniques and
performance. In this laboratory and salon, students will explore puppetry, masquerade, collage,
ritualized action, and material transformations and develop their own performing objects using a
variety of techniques. Students will be guided through creative prompts that think through
various themes centered around the relationship between material, ritual action and
embodiment.
