The Construction Management course includes a comprehensive overview of the elements of construction project management. Emphasis is placed on the business processes and management techniques companies use to manage and control construction projects. Topics include an overview of the construction and design industries, different types of company organizations, construction documents and contracts, project delivery methods, responsibilities of the construction manager, project chronology, estimating/bidding and procurement procedures, cost and time control strategies, and project administration. A general understanding of construction and architecture is required to take this course.
