Curriculum, Planning, & Instructional Design is a comprehensive course designed for ACET teacher certification candidates who want to develop the skills necessary to plan, design, and deliver effective instruction in diverse PreK–12 learning environments. Aligned with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requirements and InTASC Standards 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, this course focuses on standards-based instruction, curriculum alignment, assessment design, and evidence-based teaching practices. Candidates learn how to create engaging, rigorous, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support student achievement and prepare learners for college, career, and lifelong success. Instruction and course assignments are tailored to each candidate's certification content area, enabling candidates to apply curriculum planning, instructional design, and assessment practices within the context of their specific discipline.
