Learn foundational skills for guitar that can be applied as a hobbyist, musician, or educator. Build your comfort with the instrument by practicing strumming rhythms and finger-picking patterns. Develop a familiarity with the guitar neck through fretting techniques for basic chords and melodies. Build a repertoire of elementary guitar pieces. Apply these skills to play melodies and accompaniments that can be performed solo or in a musical group. This course is designed for beginning musicians and those new to guitar.
