Music has been one of history's most powerful methods for making social statements. Now, it’s your turn to be part of the movement and have your voice heard! Together, we’ll choose a cause you’re passionate about to raise awareness. You’ll learn civil conversation techniques, engage in meaningful discussions, and follow a step-by-step process to create an original song about your cause. Then, you’ll perform that song to amplify your message and exercise your First Amendment rights! You’ll master the step-by-step method of writing original songs, empowering you to express yourself anytime you need. MCPS has approved this camp session for 10 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. Your instructor, Alice Langholt, Ph.D., is a Reiki Master Teacher, EFT Practitioner, Intuitive Counselor, and a prolific author. She teaches at Montgomery College for adults and also at their Youth Camp during the summer. Join Alice for this mind-blowing class that will empower you for life.
