This 30-hour course is for students who need a review of pre-algebra and algebra topics in order to improve math placement. This course may only be taken by students whose ALEKS placement scores are 13 or less. Topics include: fractions, decimals, percents, signed numbers, equations and inequalities, exponents, scientific notation, inequalities and evaluating algebraic expressions. Application of these concepts in context will also be examined. No textbook is required. Prerequisite: ALEKS placement score of 13 or less and English assessment level of IERW002 or ELAI990.
