Get ready to excel in the writing sections of the SAT and ACT! In this comprehensive course, you will analyze typical essay prompts and review sample responses to understand what makes a compelling argument. Learn to support your opinions effectively by drawing on your own experiences and readings to tackle persuasive prompts. Develop logical thinking skills to enhance the structure of your arguments and avoid common reasoning fallacies. You will practice writing essay components, composing complete essays, and revising both your own work and that of your peers. Engage in interactive group games and activities designed to sharpen your grammar knowledge and test-taking skills. Improve your ability to write under timed conditions and expand your writing toolkit with rhetorical strategies. You will enhance your understanding of Standard English usage through targeted instruction and collaborative practice. Additionally, we will break down multiple-choice questions into manageable parts, helping you develop effective strategies for tackling them.
