While there are many forms of gentle exercise practiced today, Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese tradition, is widely popular and beneficial. Tai Chi 24 Form is the most popular form of tai chi practiced today. With only 24 movements, it is the perfect way to exercise mind and body and experience the overwhelming health benefits of tai chi, regardless of your age and fitness level. As a form of exercise, Tai Chi uniquely combines relaxed breathing with slow graceful movements that seek balance and harmony and is often described as “meditation in motion”.  The emphasis on mindfulness, balance, fluidity of movement, and breathing sets tai chi apart from other forms of exercise. In this course you will learn a variety of graceful, slow movements in a focused manner, accompanied by relaxed breathing. These low impact movements will improve your balance and flexibility, increase stamina, and strengthen bones and muscles with minimal stress to your joints. With regular practice, Tai Chi 24 will help develop relaxation skills to manage stress, improve cognitive function for brain health, and boost the immune system to protect the body.
