Join us as we explore cooking traditions from across the United States, Canada, Central America, and South America. You will learn how to read and follow recipes to prepare a delicious dish from a different region. Sample dishes may include Johnnycakes from New England, Amish Chicken Corn Soup from Pennsylvania, Stuffed Cabbage Rolls from the Midwest, Fish Tacos from California, Arroz a la Mexicana from Mexico, Honduran Baleadas, and Brigadeiros from Brazil. Classes will be hands-on, engaging, and designed to build confidence in the kitchen. Each class, you will practice reading and following a recipe from start to finish and prepare a featured dish to taste. As you cook, you will also learn proper food-handling techniques, basic nutrition concepts, and simple tips that support greater independence in the kitchen. A recipe book will be provided so you can recreate each dish at home. Get ready to roll up your sleeves—your cooking adventure across the Americas is about to begin!
