Want to be on the next season of “Top Chef Jr.”? Come and learn the basics! In this five-day session, you will learn all of the essential kitchen skills needed to master the fundamentals of cooking. We will cover all of the basics of cooking such as how to handle knives, how to read and follow recipes, measuring and mixing, and the importance of kitchen safety. Each day, you will learn how to make a variety of recipes from the following categories: appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. You will also learn how to choose recipes in order to create and design menus of their own. On the final day, you will prepare a menu of your favorite recipes from each category, as if you were opening a restaurant of your own! Instructor: MC Faculty, Marriott Culinary Arts
