Have you ever wanted to start a business of your own, such as dog walking, lawn mowing, selling your own artistic creations, or even marketing an app you are creating? If you answered yes to any of those, then this camp is for you! Learn the foundations of turning your business idea into reality by exploring examples of existing businesses founded by young innovators like you. In this camp, you will practice critical thinking skills, learn fundraising and marketing techniques, create a business plan, and deliver two stunning presentations. In addition, you will learn how different innovations can benefit the community at large. In teams, you will develop an innovation to support a community need and present your idea to the class. Then, team up or develop your own individual idea and present your innovation to a panel of judges. MCPS has approved this course for 5 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. Instructors: Southern Management Leadership Scholars.
