This Maryland MVA-certified Motorcycle Basic Rider Course (BRC), is a12-hour course designed for those who have little or no riding experience, or who have not ridden in a long time. This course includes a five-hour independent study distance learning (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) eCourse, a one-hour mandatory online orientation and eleven hours of riding exercises (range). NOTE: The eCourse must be completed prior to beginning the range portion of the course. Upon successful completion of both a knowledge and riding skills test, you are entered into the MVA portal which enables you to obtain your M license at the MVA. You will also receive a course completion card stating successful completion of the course. Class information and eCourse instructions will be sent to your MYMC email account and any secondary email you have on your MYMC account ONE week prior to the orientation date. The Range portion of the class is held at Montgomery College, Rockville Campus, parking lot 2. Motorcycles are provided and you must wear appropriate range gear/attire; additional expectations are found in the FAQs listed on our website.
