Youth programs registration is online only. Please be sure to review registration information, as the drop/refund policy differs from the rest of the College. And be sure to create a separate profile for each child. I. STEM Saturday (Ages 8-14) YTH650

  • In this exciting STEM Saturday, you will explore Python Programming, Drone Racing, ROBLOX® Makers, Minecraft ® Modding, YouTube ® FX Shorts, Cyber Spies, 3D Modeling with Pokémon ®, or Video Game Animation! In partnership with Black Rocket Productions.

II. Brazilian Arts & Language (Ages 11-13) YTH698

  • This weekly cultural arts program is for you and your family, especially if you are Brazilian or Brazilian American and live in the Greater Washington DC area. Gain hands-on experience with Brazilian musical instruments and rhythms and explore culturally relevant songs by Brazilian composers and songwriters. Offered in partnership with EducArte’s Brazilian Arts Academy.
  • When: Saturday , March 1 - April 5, 2025 (6 sessions), 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

III. Artificial Intelligence. (Ages 11-14) YTH652

  • Examine fields such as health, economics, music, and engineering through the lens of artificial intelligence. You will study interpretable and black-box models, including K-Nearest Neighbors classification, regression, K-Means clustering, and decision tree methods.

IV. Artscape (Ages 6-10 or Ages 11-14) YTH655

  • Explore your emotions and experiences through art. You'll learn to express yourself, gain insights, and develop healthy coping strategies. In partnership with Inspiration Nation.
  • When: Sundays, March 2 - March 30, 2025 (5 sessions)  Ages 6-10 at 2:00p.m. - 3:30 p.m. / Ages 11-14 at 3:45 p.m. -5:15p.m.

V. Comic Creations (Ages 6-10 and Ages 11-14) YTH656

  • An exciting, hands-on course designed to bring your imagination to life through the art of storytelling and comic design. You will be guided through creating your unique comic tale and leave with your original comic book. In partnership with Inspiration Nation.

VI. Adventures in Engineering VEX Go Robotics and Coding YTH699

  • Students will overcome challenges by creating robots and developing decision-making code. Invent, test, and improve your bot just like real engineers! VEX GO helps you learn the fundamentals of STEM through fun, hands-on activities that make learning enjoyable and engaging. This program is offered in partnership with Goldsmith Education.

VII. Drone Missions, YTH700

  • Dive into the world of drones and flight! You'll explore math, variables, logic, and programming as you tackle a variety of challenges. Throughout the course, you'll develop a programming mindset, focusing on outcomes as you create and refine your projects. In partnership with Goldsmith Education

IX. The Resilient Parent: Tools for Supporting Emotional Growth, YPP001

  • This dynamic seminar will give you essential knowledge and strategies to help your child build emotional resilience, embrace a growth mindset, and develop self-advocacy skills. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, you will learn effective ways to support your child in managing their emotions, tackling challenges with confidence, and advocating for their needs. You’ll leave with practical insights and actionable steps to reinforce these lifelong skills in your child’s development. In partnership with KGH Consulting.

  • Calling all young soccer players — you’re invited to an exciting day of soccer designed just for you! Get ready to immerse yourself in a dynamic learning experience where you’ll sharpen your skills, embrace good sportsmanship, and develop leadership qualities while having a great time. XI: Spring Break Soccer Clinic for Youth

  • Attention soccer players ages 9-16! Spend spring break honing your soccer skills in an exciting and engaging camp designed just for you. This four-day program offers a dynamic experience where you'll improve your soccer techniques, foster good sportsmanship, and build leadership skills and character.
