There is no political office more powerful than the President of the United States. In this camp, you will have the opportunity to research your favorite President and understand their impact on the country. You will pick one topic from your President of choice and create a fact sheet and presentation, focusing on how you can use this idea to advocate for change in your community. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you will travel to Washington DC via the metro to explore areas of the city influenced by the executive office. The field trip locations may include the White House and relevant portions of the Smithsonian American History Museum. Please note that the field trip locations may change based on COVID protocols. MCPS has approved this camp session for 10 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. In partnership with Milner Educational Consulting
